2-Day Trek (Day 1: Hike & overnight; Day 2: Machu Picchu guided tour)

Day 1: Cusco to Machu Picchu via the Inca Trail

  • 3:00 AM Pickup from Cusco or 4:00 AM from Sacred Valley
  • Train to KM 104: Scenic 1.5-hour ride to the trailhead
  • Start the Hike:
  • Hike 10 km (6.2 miles) to Wiñay Wayna (2,650 masl)
  • Enjoy a guided visit and picnic lunch at the site
  • Continue to Inti Punku (Sun Gate):
  • Approx. 2-hour hike with panoramic views of Machu Picchu
  • Descent to Machu Picchu:
  • Quick glimpse of the citadel before heading to town
  • Overnight stay in Aguas Calientes

Day 2: Explore Machu Picchu

  • Morning bus ride to Machu Picchu
  • 2–3 Hour Guided Tour: Visit temples, terraces, and sacred sites
  • Lunch in Aguas Calientes (not included)
  • Train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station
  • Private transfer to your hotel in Cusco or Sacred Valley
